Maker and Restorer of String Quartet Instruments

I am a French violin maker, in Czech Republic. I began learning the craft at the age of 15 at the National Violin Making School in Mirecourt, and graduated in 1995. For two decades, I worked in workshops across France, Spain, and the Netherlands before opening my own studio in Brno.

My workshop, located on the third floor of a historic building in Brno’s old town, welcomes musicians of all backgrounds — from beginners to seasoned professionals — whether they play classical, baroque, jazz, or traditional music. I take the time to listen, understand their needs, and work closely with them.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege to work with renowned luthiers and institutions, which gave me the opportunity to restore some exceptional historical instruments — an experience that deeply shaped my approach to violin making and care.

I’ve also had the chance to create instruments for professional and renowned musicians across Europe, and I’m always grateful to accompany them in their artistic journey.

I love music, I love craftsmanship, and I value the human connection with musicians. I consider myself very fortunate to practice a profession that unites all of these passions.
